Single issue of Signals edited by the late David Medalla (1942-2020), the bulletin published by Paul Keeler's short-lived but highly influential Wigmore Street gallery, Signals London. Signals’ program was dedicated to 1960s avant-garde artists from Europe and Latin America and was largely responsible for introducing Fluxus, Kinetic and Op art to Britain. Folded broadsheet newspaper with 16 pages illustrated throughout with monochrome photographs. Cover image by Naum Gabo.

Includes mostly South American artists: statement by Alejandro Otero; Antonio Calderara; Francesco Saba Sardi; Chillida by Gerald Turner; The Takis Dialogues: V by Guy Brett; Li Yuan Chia; Alberto Guzman; Helio Oiticica; Mathias Goeritz; Liliane Lijn; Raimondos; Antonio Asis; Lazlo Moholy-Nagy; Malevitch; one page dedicated to J R Soto; The Art of Sergio De Camargo; Lygia Clarke. Through their exhibitions, events and publications, they established fruitful cross-border networks between these regions and introduced early manifestations of Fluxus, Kinetic and Op art to Britain. Having evolved from the Centre for Advanced Creative Study, Signals London was situated in London s West End between 1964 1966.
