Including incidental illustrations taken from Paul Klee’s Pedagogical Sketchbook based on lectures given at the Bauhaus between 1921-1931; reproductions of drawings by Reuben Kadish; reproductions of Clay Sphon’s “War Machines” paintings; photo poems by George Leite and Bern Porter. Circle Magazine was published from 1944 to 1948 by George Leite, initially with Bern Porter. Produced at daliel’s–Leite's gallery, performance space and bookstore in Berkeley California–Circle Magazine featured poetry, prose, criticism and art from many of those whose creative works and their successors would later come to be called the San Francisco Renaissance.
