First Trianon Press Edition of Georges Rouault’s Miserere engravings prepared under Rouault’s direct supervision and printed by master printers Aulard & Cie, Paris, in October 1950. A lovely copy. Printed two years before the later 1952 edition which was published by the Museum of Modern Art, New York. The titles were hand drawn by Rouault and are here reproduced in facsimile. The book was designed by Arnold Fawcus the direct of Trianon Press. Uncommon in such good condition. From the collection of the British artist Bernard Meyers (1925–2007).
