Catalogue of an exhibition of Piero Gilardi’s  ‘Tappeti-natura’ [nature carpets] held at Galerie Ileana Sonnabend, Paris in 1967. Gilardi was a formative figure in the birth of Arte Povera . His Tappeti-natura’, hyperrealist sculptures made from Polyurethane, simulated images of riverbanks, cave floors, forests and vegetable gardens. These works were first exhibited in 1966 at Galleria Gian Enzo Sperone in Turin and the following year at Sonnabend in Paris, Fischbach in New York and Zwirner in Cologne.
