Published in London by Lund Humphries & Co. and in Australia by Ponsford, Newman and Benson Pty Ltd. Issue one with cover design by John Tunnard, Issue 2 with cover design by Edward Bawden.

Other contributions by Sir Kenneth Clark, Edward Sackville-West, Benjamin Britten and John Piper. This post-war periodical 'The Arts' was only issued twice, this being the first.
