Complete set (Vols. 1–2) of the short-lived periodical, The Arts, edited by Desmond Shawe-Taylor with Herbert Read and Edward Sackville-West as editorial advisors. Published in London by Lund Humphries & Co. and in Australia by Ponsford, Newman and Benson Pty Ltd. Issue one with cover design by John Tunnard, Issue 2 with cover design by Edward Bawden.

Including three full-page colour lithographed plates on matt paper, two from Herbert Reads' article on Edouard Pignon and one by Duncan Grant which accompanies a three page W.R.Rodgers poem, 'Europa and the Bull' with illustrated borders also probably by Duncan Grant. Other contributions by Sir Kenneth Clark, Edward Sackville-West, Benjamin Britten and John Piper. This post-war periodical 'The Arts' was only issued twice, this being the first.
