With the ownership inscription of Rudolf Kommer  (1886–1943) dated Berlin 1920. Rudolf K. Kommer, journalist and impresario, was born in Chernivtsi in 1886. From around 1908, he worked as a correspondent and theatre critic in Berlin, London, and New York. In 1922 Kommer began acting as impresario for the Austrian-born theatre and film director, intendant, and theatrical producer Max Reinhardt. Kommer also translated English poetry and several plays into German. In 1933 he immigrated to the USA and settled in New York. During the 1930s, Kommer supported several Jewish friends in leaving Germany including Alfred Kerr and Hermann Sinnsheimer. He died in New York in 1943.
